is a Diplomat who has lived and worked in El Salvador, the United States, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Mexico and the United Kingdom. He currently lives in the West Indies, specifically, Trinidad, where he is posted as El Salvador’s Ambassador.
As a consequence of his travels, he has come to appreciate the finer spirits of Rum while living in the Spanish Caribbean, Tequila during his sojourn in Mexico, and Single Malts while studying in Oxford University. Those three iconic spirits share among them their great variety in tastes and qualities, and the specialization required for their making. Living in the West Indies makes it possible to comment on how Single Malt is appreciated in these countries, which are members of the Commonwealth, both historically as well as in body and clearly, in Spirit.
